Hallowes biggest bank holiday weekend sale!

Well the final SUGC fixtures are done and my final team selection completed. 

Mike Godwin, Perry Siddall, Martin Bradbury and Dave Umney represented Hallowes in the Queens Jubilee AmAm played at the slightly undulating Grange Park Golf course. They finished a very creditable 10th out of 28 teams and nine shots off first placed Renishaw. Well done and thank you. 

The Second team failed to win their last foursomes match and so missed out going into the playoff final this year. Many thanks to my Vice Captain for all his hard work organising eight players for every match and getting us so close to success and of course many thanks must also go to all the many players who turned out for the club. 

Finally, an apology. I mistakenly said Shane Broughton had played recently when it was in fact Karl Burton. Apparently it's easy to confuse the two. Sorry guys. 

That's it, no more golfing action to report just the build up to the last major, medals, scratch competitions and finals. Not much going on then! Keep knocking them in everybody.

Hallowes Captains' Away Day 

I would like to confirm the details for all Hallowes members who are going on the Captains' away day to Wetherby Golf Club by coach on Friday 4th September 2015. The coach will arrive at Hallowes Golf Club at 9.00 am and we will be looking to leave Hallowes no later than 9.30 am. The return coach will depart from Wetherby Golf Club at 9.00 pm. Payment for the coach will be collected on the day whilst travelling up to Wetherby Golf Club. On arrival bacon sandwiches and coffee will be provided and there will be a 2 course dinner after playing. The cost for this will be collected during the meal.
