Summer Social Charity Event Saturday, 6 July
Dear Members,
If you haven't already submitted your team for the 5-a-side human table football competition this coming Saturday but you'd like to, there are still a couple of days for you to do so.
Entry forms are available at the Clubhouse Bar or, if you prefer, you can just drop me a text with your contact details and your team name and I can do the rest. My mobile number is 07826 844035.
If you'd just like to come along as a spectator, you're more than welcome from 4.00pm and remember there's a superb Thai Buffet from 5.00pm onwards. Family Entertainer, Sparky Marky, will be doing his stuff in the Bill May Suite between 6.00pm and 8.00pm so there's plenty going on!
Not wishing to tempt fate BUT the current weather forecast for this area on Saturday is good, so if you're of a mind to, please do come along and join us.
Kindest regards, Gordon Harrison

Is your putting holding you back?
With putting being 40% of the game, having a putter that is fitted correctly for you is very important. We see far too many amateurs using the wrong putter for their height and stroke causing their putting to be very inconsistent.
If you are interested in having a putter fitted for you correctly then get in touch. In the Pro Shop here at Hallowes we have a fantastic selection of putters to choose from including brands such as Odyssey, PING and Scotty Cameron.
|
|
We are currently running a fantastic offer where you are able to receive a FREE fitting and FREE lesson when you purchase a putter (this offer is only running for Odyssey). This offer expires Sunday, 29 July. Call us on 01246 411196 or click here to book your fitting today.

Why you should invest in golf lessons!
Have you ever wondered why the top professionals in the world, the ones who are competing for millions of pounds each week all over the world have coaches?
The pathway to playing better golf is completely unique to every golfer. There is more information available today than ever through social media and YouTube for example, but this information isn’t tailored specifically to you. This is the basic reason why you should invest your time and effort into golf lessons if you want to improve and enjoy the game more. A few reasons why you should invest in golf lessons: |
1. It’s the best way to learn about your game 2. You can’t see what you’re doing, right or wrong! 3. Your current poor concepts could be seriously hurting your development 4. It’s an investment in yourself
With that in mind, one of our PGA Professionals has some great options for you going into the season. Trackman lessons are available starting from as little as £35 for half an hour. A full 1-hour lesson is £55 with a package of three at £150…saving £15. To book call us on 01246 411196 or click here. |

Reading between the lines |
One of the hardest things in golf is green reading; it is also something that the majority of golfers never learn how to do properly. So, without giving away all the secrets, here are some handy tips to help keep you on track and hole more putts. |
High and low Prior to reaching the green, take note of the high and low points of the surface and where your ball lies in respect to these. This will help you to build a general picture before reaching your ball. 360 picture
If you’re struggling to read which way your putt breaks from behind the ball, try walking around to the other side of the hole as this can often highlight any breaks you may have missed or reaffirm your original read. Utilise our expertise
To really master the art of putting, book a coaching session with us and benefit from our years of experience as PGA professionals. Here we will teach you the in-depth steps to improving your green reading skills.
