Charity Event - Sunday, 15 April Jack Wilson, one of our juniors, is hosting a charity event at Hallowes on Sunday, 15 April. As well as playing non-stop golf from dawn til dusk, Jack is inviting you to sponsor him and/or pay to play a holes with him. There will also be an afternoon tea (1:00pm until 4:00pm) which is being organised by Jack's sister Ella, with some entertainment for all. Bethany Pashley will be singing and there is also a magician, who will be performing tricks at your table. Please give Jack and his sister your support. All the money that is raised is going towards Teenage Cancer Charities to support young people who are suffering from this illness. Forms to support Jack and his golfing endeavours are in the back bar or in the pro's shop. Tickets for the afternoon tea (£10 for two) can be bought from the bar or from Jack's mum Sharlene. Even though there is not much golf being played at the moment, Jack would really appreciate you calling into the club to sign the form or to buy tickets for afternoon tea. Young people with cancer would really appreciate your support.

Junior Holiday Camps Further details about the junior holiday camps are as follows: - Dates - Friday, 6 April, Sunday, 8 April and Friday, 13 April.
- Time - 10:00am until 3:00pm.
- Cost - £25 per session.
- Please book in the pros shop – you can pay then or pay on the day.
- Food – There will be a short lunch break. Your child can bring their own packed lunch or order something from the kitchen on the day (chicken nuggets, burger, fish fingers, chip butty etc). The cost of this will be £3 - £4.
Golf clubs are not needed as the club has some junior clubs that can be borrowed. Your child will need to bring a hat, sun cream (hopefully), medication (if they need it) and they will need to dress appropriately for the weather. It can be very cold on the practice area and it is better to have layers that can be removed, rather than getting cold. They also need to bring a cold drink with them.
The camps are suitable for children from 8 to 16 and there are at least three golf professionals leading the sessions, which are all about fun, as well as learning to enjoy the game of golf. Hallowes and Moorview are looking forward to welcoming your child/grandchild on the days.

Put your name up in lights |
It only comes around once a year and it’s that time again - Masters week! The first Major of the year takes place at Augusta National this week, which we always take as a sign that the season is getting underway. With this in mind, we have one question for you: are you ready to play your best golf this year? |
Maximise your potential We've all sat looking at the honours boards in a clubhouse before, admiring the one name that appears to be on most and thinking 'wow, they must be pretty good!' Well, how good would it feel if that name up in lights was yours? If you come and speak to us we can talk about your strengths, weaknesses and goals for this season and look at the best way to help you achieve them, whether that’s a one-off fault-fixer lesson, regular sessions to aid your consistency or perhaps a look at your equipment. |
