7:00am Tee Off
Following a number of requests we have decided for a trial period of three months to allow golfers to tee off at 7:00am. This will only be for social golf initially and will take effect from Sunday, 1 April 2018. Golfers who wish to start at 7:00am need to ensure they follow these caveats: - Greenkeepers have the right of way at all times, this is a key time to get fairways and greens cut. Golfers should either wait for them to finish cutting or move on to the next hole.
- All golf must start on the first tee only. Golfers should wait at the Clubhouse until their turn for the tee, this will help to keep noise to a minimum.
- Golfers will not be able to start at 7.00am on any official competition day, this includes
mid-week competitions.
This is a move away from Hallowes traditional start so we need your cooperation in order for this arrangement to continue.

Competition Entry Rules and Responsibilities The board would just like to remind all members about some of the rules for this year’s knockout competitions that are now advertised in the lobby. The following is intended to avoid dispute between players and ensure the smooth running of the competitions. Please comply and avoid disqualification: - Failure to pay the entry fee by the required date will result in automatic disqualification.
- There will not be any telephone reminders after the closing date.
- All competitors must record a contact telephone number and email address against their name on the entry sheet.
- It is the responsibility of all competitors to contact the opposing party to arrange a match date prior to the end of each round noted.
- Please plan your games well in advance ensuring you take account of holiday arrangements etc.
- Please play as early as possible in the competition calendar.
- Failure to complete any matches by the due date will result in disqualification of both parties.
- No extensions will be permitted unless closing dates are altered as a result of course closure.

Our new era has begun Last week you received an email from us asking for your help. It wasn’t anything too onerous or time-consuming; simply sparing 20 seconds of your time to complete your golfing profile. |
The reason we’re asking you to do this is so that we can start sending you personalised content that is more relevant to your golfing needs. For example, if you’re a lady golfer with a handicap of 28 then the weekly emails you receive will include ladies product that will be suited to your playing ability. Likewise, if you’re a gentleman off 12, we will begin sending you content that will help you to get your handicap down to the holy grail of single-figure digits. Thank you to everyone who has already completed their profile and for those of you who haven’t been able to as of yet, please try and do so in the near future. |
