Stefan Priest Trophy - Saturday, 17 June
Congratulations to Mark Wilson and Shane Congreve on their win in the Stefan Priest Trophy Betterball competition. The full results were as follows:
Winners - Mark Wilson and Shane Congreve (48 points), runner-up - Sam Bairstow and Harrison Lamb (45 points) and in third place - David Wright and Geoff Thorpe (45 points).
Hallowes Junior Championship - Sunday, 18 June
Congratulations to Frazer Limb who won the Hallowes Junior Championship with a great score of 89 - 28 = 61. Full results were as follows:
Winner - Frazer Limb (89 - 28 = 61), runner-up - Freddie Parlby (81 - 10 = 71) and in third place - Tom Shaw (90 - 19 = 71).
Regents Stableford - Tuesday, 20 June
Congratulations to Andy Rhodes who won the Regents Stableford with a great score of 40 points. Full results were as follows:
First place - Andy Rhodes (40 points), second place - Trevor Marshall (39 points) and in third place - David Battle (39 points).
2017 Matchplay Competitions
Please note that it is almost the deadline for the second round of the 2017 Matchplay Competitions and the following rules apply:
All competitors must record a contact telephone number and email address against their name on the entry sheet.
It is the responsibility of all competitors to contact the opposing party to arrange a match date prior to the end of each round noted.
Please plan your games well in advance ensuring you take account of holiday arrangements etc.
Please play as early as possible in the competition calendar.
Failure to complete any matches by the due date will result in disqualification of both parties.
No extensions will be permitted unless closing date is altered as a result of course closure.
These rules are intended to avoid dispute between players and ensure the smooth running of the competition. Please comply and avoid disqualification. First round closing dates are as follows:
Sunday, 2 July - Benson Trophy.
Sunday, 2 July - Badger Trophy.
Sunday, 2 July - Bill May Jug.
Friday, 30 July - Mixed Knockout.
Sunday, 30 July - Carl Bennett.
Sunday, 20 Aug - John May Cup.
League Team Results
Last week our League Team played two matches, on Monday we played an re-arranged match against Abbeydale Golf Club and drew 4 - 4. Last Wednesday we played Crookhill Golf Club and the team consisted of Stef Priest, John Jarman, James Murby and David Wright playing for the first time this season congratulations to David and the rest of the team. We won 8 - 0.

Family Fun Day and Hog Roast - Sunday, 16 July
There will be food available from 2:00pm, provided by Albion Farm Hog Roast. Nine holes on the practice area, enter in pairs - golfer/golfer or golfer/non-golfer. £8 per couple, which includes golf and food and non-golfing participants can book a hog roast ticket for £5. The time sheet for those of you golfing is in the lobby by the pro shop. Please sign-up, times available between 12:00pm and 3:00pm. However, because a private firm is supplying the food, we need to know numbers. Once you have signed up for golf, please pay over the bar and get a receipt and please do the same for any family and friends who are just coming up for the food. There is also entertainment from a school band in the afternoon.
Halfway Hut
The halfway hut will be open for the Captain's Mid-week Competition on Thursday, and also on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday Morning Junior Golf Coaching Roll-up
Our next session will be this Saturday, 24 June at 9:30am. These sessions are the perfect way to introduce children to the game of golf. Full details are as follows:
Venue - Hallowes Golf Club practice ground.
Date - Saturday, 24 June.
Time - Arrive 9:15am for a 9:30am start.
Price - £5 per child.
