President's Putter - Saturday, 20 May
Congratulations to Cameron Dawson for winning the President's Putter in tough wet conditions last Saturday. Full results were as follows:
First place - Cameron Dawson (74 - 8 = 66), second place - John Jarman (71 - 2 = 69), third place - Luke Turner (81 - 12 = 69) and in fourth place - Chris Milton (80 - 11 = 69).
Ladies Medal - Saturday, 20 May
Congratulations to Ann Farrell (Silver Winner) and Marion Kay (Bronze Winner) in the recent Saturday Ladies Medal. Scores were as follows:
Silver Winner - Ann Farrell - 91 - 13 = 78.
Bronze Winner - Marion Kay - 98 - 26 = 72.

Halfway House - Extended Summer Opening
It is our intention to open the Halfway Hut more during the summer playing months to enable our members to benefit from this facility. We intend to open, where possible, for weekend competitions, Thursday Medals and large society and charity days. The Hut will also be open every day during 125 Celebration week.

Pink Day
A big thank you to Hazel Fowler and her team for holding another successful Pink Day in aid of Breast Cancer. Despite the weather spirits were high and over £450 was raised on the day. Thank you to all who contributed in some way and any unclaimed raffle prizes are on the noticeboard.
Norah Swinscoe Scratch Trophy
Congratulations to Ladies Captain Claire Oates, Lynn Harrison and Di Watterson who qualified in top 16 place in the Norah Swinscoe Scratch Trophy which was held at Rotherham Golf Club. The next round was held at Hallowes Golf Club, but sadly the ladies didn't progress to the Semi-final despite great performances by all three players.
Hallowes Ladies Team News
The ladies team played in the third round of the Tasker Trophy on Sunday, 21 May at home to Bondhay. A close fought battle sadly loosing 4 - 3.
Team News
Last week we played at Wath Golf Club in the Yorkshire Fifth Division Team Championship. The players were Sam Bairstow, Colin Jenkins and Stefan Priest. The weather conditions proved to be challenging, but after the first round we were leading with a score of 219. Due to the weather conditions the second round was abandoned and the competition was reduced to 18 holes. As a result we are now the champions of the Yorkshire Fifth Division and have we been promoted to the Fourth Division Team Championship. Congratulations to the team and a good day for Hallowes Golf Club.
The Yorkshire Fourth Division Team Championship will be played at Cottingham Golf Club, more details to follow shortly.
Saturday Morning Junior Golf Coaching Roll-up
There will be no coaching session this Saturday. Our next session will be a week on Saturday, 3 June at 9:30am. These sessions are the perfect way to introduce children to the game of golf. Full details are as follows:
