Ladies Three Club Competition - Wednesday, 12 October
Congratulations to Ann Farrell for winning the recent Ladies Three Club Competition with 33 points. Full results were as follows:
First place - Ann Farrell (33 points), second place - Sue Ludlam (32 points, back nine) and in third place - Marie Lethaby (32 points).
Devil's Am-Am - Saturday, 22 October
Last Saturday we had 128 golfers compete in the Devil's Am-Am. Congratulations to Richard Price, Michael Cardwell and Ryan Maddocks for winning the event with a fantastic score of 92 points. Well done to those of you who got yourself a two, £8.53 has been added to your pro shop account. Full results were as follows:
First place - Richard Price, Michael Cardwell and Ryan Maddock (92 points), second place - Lee Jacques, Craig Swift and John Hardwick (84 points) and in third place - Dave Roberts, Rob Pashley and Geoff Thorpe (82 points).
Five Day Membership
The Board of Directors have recently made a decision to slightly increase the number of five day playing members. Accordingly, any member over the age of 30, who would like to become a five day member (currently £815 per year) should express an interest in the first place by applying in writing or email (click here) by no later than Friday, 4 November. No applications will be considered after that date. If the numbers are oversubscribed, priority will be given according to age length of service at the golf club and a waiting list will be produced should further offers be made in the future. Please note that expressing an interest is not a guarantee that the request will be granted and it is recommended that members are fully aware of the restrictions of being a five day member before expressing an interest.

Halloween Party - Friday, 28 October
Don't forget to buy your tickets for the party this Friday. Please book over the bar or through the office. Tickets are £5 for children and £1 for adults. Children will get food, spooky treats and scary frights. There is a disco for them and a chance to win a prize for their fancy dress costume. Adults will get the chance to buy pie and peas, try some guest beers and they can also win a fancy dress prize. It really does help the organisers if they have a good idea of expected numbers so please book your tickets as soon as possible, if you haven't already done so.
