Scratch Medal - Sunday, 7 August
Congratulations to James Murby for winning the Scratch Medal in tough windy conditions last Sunday. Full results were as follows:
First place - James Murby (78 + 72 = 150), second place - John Jarman (78 + 74 = 152) and in third place - Stefan Priest (77 + 77 = 154).
Senior Scratch Medal - Sunday, 7 August
Congratulations to David Hammond for winning the Senior Scratch Medal with a great score of 79 gross. Full results were as follows:
First place - David Hammond (79), second place - Graham Pearson (80) and in third place - Tony Perkins (82).
Ladies Stableford - Saturday, 6 August
Silver Winner - Jacqui Lomas (36 points). Bronze Winner - Judith Race (34 points).
2016 Matchplay Competitions
Please note that it is almost the deadline for the fourth round of the 2016 Matchplay Competitions and the following rules apply:
All competitors must record a contact telephone number and email address against their name on the entry sheet.
It is the responsibility of all competitors to contact the opposing party to arrange a match date prior to the end of each round noted.
Please plan your games well in advance ensuring you take account of holiday arrangements etc.
Please play as early as possible in the competition calendar.
Failure to complete any matches by the due date will result in disqualification of both parties.
No extensions will be permitted unless the closing date is altered as a result of course closure.
These rules are intended to avoid dispute between players and ensure the smooth running of the competition. Please comply and avoid disqualification. Fourth round closing dates are as follows:
Friday, 12 August - Benson Trophy.
Friday, 12 August - Badger Trophy.
Friday, 12 August - Bill May Jug.
Friday, 12 August - Mixed Knockout.

Par Three Fun Competition - Sunday, 14 August (2pm - 4pm)
On Sunday, 14 August we will be holding a par three fun competition open to golfers and non-golfers. The entry fee is £5 per pair including refreshments. The start sheet can be found on the club noticeboard.

Saturday Morning Junior Golf Coaching Roll-ups
Our next session will be this Saturday, 13 August. These sessions are the perfect way to introduce children to the game of golf. Full details are as follows:
Venue - Hallowes Golf Club practice ground.
Date - Saturday, 13 August.
Time - Arrive 9.15am for a 9.30am - 10.30am start.
Price - £5 per child.
Members and visitors are invited to bring their children or grandchildren (aged 5 - 16 years old), to try golf for the first time. If you would like to book your place, please click here or call into the pro shop.
Hallowes Junior Members' Coaching
This Sunday, 14 August at 10.30am there will be a coaching session for Hallowes' junior members who have a handicap of 20 and above, this also includes junior members who have not yet got a handicap. All juniors who fall into this category are very welcome to attend and please arrive at least 10 minutes before the session starts. Full details are as follows:
Venue - Hallowes Golf Club practice ground.
Date - Sunday, 14 August.
Time - Arrive 10.20am for a 10.30am - 11.30am start.
Price - £5 per child.
