John May Cup Matchplay

May Medal - Thursday, 12 May
Division One - First place - Gary Levick (71 - 2 = 69), second place - Tim Beesley (81 - 12 = 69) and in third place - Dave Roberts (80 - 11 = 69).
Division Two - First place - Peter Ledger (86 - 24 = 62), second place - James Collins (95 - 26 = 69) and in third place - Andrew Hirst (85 - 16 = 69).

2016 Matchplay Competitions
Please note that it is almost the deadline for the first round of the 2016 Matchplay Competitions and the following rules apply:
- All competitors must record a contact telephone number and email address against their name on the entry sheet.
- It is the responsibility of all competitors to contact the opposing party to arrange a match date prior to the end of each round noted.
- Please plan your games well in advance ensuring you take account of holiday arrangements etc.
- Please play as early as possible in the competition calendar.
- Failure to complete any matches by the due date will result in disqualification of both parties.
- No extensions will be permitted unless closing date is altered as a result of course closure.
These rules are intended to avoid dispute between players and ensure the smooth running of the competition. Please comply and avoid disqualification.

Junior Medal Competitions
Congratulations to Freddie Parlby for winning the Junior Medal last Sunday with a great nett score 67. The full results are as follows:
First place - Freddie Parlby (86 - 19 = 67), second place - Jack Wilson (73 - 5 = 68) and in third place - Sam Bairstow (70 - 0 = 70).

Get into Golf Taster Session for Ladies
Our
NEW re-arranged date will be Monday, 30 May (2pm - 4pm). The lady members at Hallowes Golf Club are hosting the session and I will be on hand to offer expert tuition all
FREE of charge in a bid to show ladies how great golf can be. If you know any ladies who might like to give golf a try, please tell them to meet near the putting green outside the clubhouse, 10 minutes before the session starts. All equipment will be provided.

Saturday Morning Junior Golf Coaching Roll-up
Our next session will be this Saturday, 21 May. These sessions are the perfect way to introduce children to the game of golf. Full details are as follows:
Venue - Hallowes Golf Club practice ground

Time - Arrive 9.15am for a 9.30am - 10.30am start
Price - £5 per child

Hallowes Junior Members Coaching
This Sunday, 22 May at 10.30am there will be a coaching session for Hallowes' junior members who have a handicap of 20 and above, this also includes junior members who have not yet got a handicap. All juniors who fall into this category are very welcome to attend and please arrive at least 10 minutes before the session starts. Full details are as follows:

Time - Arrive 10.20am for a 10.30am - 11.30am start
