Captain's Comments
Well the season has well and truly started, but sadly, the weather gods still believe it is winter. Fingers crossed the weather will pick up soon, as most of you know, I'm not a fan of the cold.
Firstly, I would like to say well done to everyone who made the effort to play in the competitions so far and congratulations not just to the winners, but anyone who played to their handicaps in such testing conditions.
Congratulations to Sam Bairstow, Jack Wilson, Gary Levick and James Murby who represented Hallowes in the Sheffield Union foursomes competition at Doncaster Golf Club. They shot a combined score of 144.25 and came fourth out of 26 teams. Well done chaps and thanks again for supporting Hallowes.
Next week on Wednesday, 4 May we play our first league match at Hallowes playing against Silkstone. The team next week will consist of Sam Bairstow, Steve Lister, Gary Levick and James Murby. Your support and encouragement on the evening will be greatly appreciated and if anyone would like to caddie please let me know. The first tee time is 4.45pm and the tee will be closed from 4.15pm.
Wayne Knight, Captain.
