A reminder that Monday, 4 April is the final day to enter all of the 2016 Knockout competitions. Full details are as follows:
- Badger Trophy - Singles off full handicap (£2.50)
- Bill May Jug - Limited to 9 handicap or less, singles off full handicap (£2.50)
- Benson Trophy - Foursomes off 1/2 combined handicap (£5)
- Mixed Knockout - Mixed Foursomes off 1/2 combined handicap (£5)
- Junior Knockout - Singles off full handicap (£2.50)
Please enter your name on the entry sheets on the competition notice board and pay your £2.50 per person entry fee in the pro shop.
Competition entry rules and responsibilities
The following is intended to avoid dispute between players and ensure the smooth running of the competitions. Please comply and avoid disqualification. Failure to pay the entry fee by the required date will result in automatic disqualification.
There will not be any telephone reminders after the closing date. All competitors must record a contact telephone number and email address against their name on the entry sheet. It is the responsibility of all competitors to contact the opposing party to arrange a match date prior to the end of each round noted. Please plan your games well in advance ensuring you take account of holiday arrangements etc. Please play as early as possible in the competition calendar. Failure to complete any matches by the due date will result in disqualification of both parties. No extensions will be permitted unless closing dates are altered as a result of course closure.
Half-way house change
Commencing from Saturday, 2 April Niche Catering will be taking over the half-way house for a six month trial period. The hut will be open EVERY Saturday 10am - 4pm serving a selection of homemade cakes, pastries, fresh sandwiches, crisps, snacks and homemade soup along with a variety of hot and cold drinks.
A mobile pre-order line will be available to use to ensure that the pace of play on the course is maintained and golfers stopping to buy a drink or bite to eat do not cause problems for the groups following. The number to call is 07709 665679.
The hut will also be opening on major competition days and to accommodate large groups and visiting societies by prior arrangement.
Course News
The greens staff have been very busy in the last few weeks preparing the course for the coming season. There may be some disruption and some temporary greens on Monday, 4 April due to the greens staff verti-cutting and top dressing the greens.

Junior Coaching
To kick start the Saturday Junior Fun/Coaching sessions for the coming 2016 season. We will be running an indoor Snag Golf session in the dining room on Saturday, 2 April. Snag Golf is the perfect way to introduce children to the game of golf.

Time - Arrive 9.15am for a 9.30am - 10.30am start
